Surrounded by her family, friends, and AHS faculty and administration outside the sliding doors of the Upper School Library, Mrs. Eileen Stansbury was recognized today in a special ceremony for her 20 years of dedication to American Heritage as the Principal of the Upper School. Mr. William Laurie shared his gratification for all that Mrs. Stansbury has done to inspire everyone around her and help make a remarkable impact that contributed to the great success that American Heritage is today. He explained that the Upper School Library at the Plantation Campus was named for Upper School Principal Mrs. Patricia Butts in 2006, and he is honored to dedicate the Library here at our Boca/Delray Campus to Mrs. Stansbury. Mr. Robert Stone shared how wonderful it was for him to work with Mrs. Stansbury through the transition from All-Star Academy to American Heritage School in 1999, and she will always be remembered for her support and leadership of all of our faculty, students, and alumni. Then, with the help of her four beautiful grandchildren, (two of them current AHS Lower School students), the unveiling of a distinguished plaque with gold lettering dedicated to Eileen Stansbury took place. Mrs. Stansbury accepted the heartfelt dedication with dignity and grace, and expressed her sentiments and fond memories of the time she spent at American Heritage. Congratulations and thank you to Mrs. Stansbury!
